Cyber Essentials helps you safeguard your business. It is a list of 34 specific measures designed to protect you from the majority of common cyber threats.
With the incidence and impact of cyber crime rising dramatically, Cyber Essentials is a great way to start protecting your business.
At the heart of Cyber Essentials is a self-assessment questionnaire. You complete this and submit it to a Certification Body with the appropriate fee.
Cyber Essentials – Level 1
You compete a self-assessment questionnaire with questions independently reviewed by by an external certifying body
Cyber Essentials Plus
The same requirements as level 1 but questionnaire answers are tested by the external certifying body, using a range of tools and techniques
Protection from cyber threats
By safeguarding your system using the recommendations in the Cyber Essentials questionnaire you reduce the risk of significant disruption from a cyber attack. That means you and your team stay focused on making your business better.
By proving your cyber security credentials to customers, insurers and investors you demonstrate your competence.
Knowing that your systems are secure means that potential customers will trust you more quickly and more readily. This is essential for effective business relationships.
New routes to market
Achieving Cyber Essentials accreditation is becoming a necessary pre-requisite for working with government. An increasing number of commercial organisations are requiring their suppliers to prove themselves. That creates opportunities to stand out from your competitors by becoming certified which protects existing routes to market and opens new ones
As an Accredited Cyber Essentials Practitioner we help businesses implement the controls outlined in the Cyber Essentials
Wherever you are on your Cyber Essentials application you might find you need some help with the questionnaire.
Our accredited team can help as little, or as much, as you want – from help with a specific answer to a complete review of your questionnaire.
And because we are an Accredited Practitioner we can check specific questions with our Certification Body before the formal application.
If you need more involved help with assessing your own system and deciding how to implement any changes required, the you will benefit from our Gap Analysis service.
An Accredited Practitioner assesses your system to find the gaps in your defences. With a combination of interviews and a visit to your office to check your system, they compile a report which is presented at a final review meeting.
With a Gap Analysis you will understand
The Gap Analysis report will identify the changes needed to your system, your processes or your policy.
As an Accredited Practitioner and with a long history of helping secure small business systems we can help implement those changes.
With full knowledge of the costs and timescales involved in each step you can decide to implement changes at your pace – either all in one go or scheduled over a specific period.
Managed Security Plan
Good cyber security depends upon keeping your system maintained. This will become apparent as you step through the Cyber Essentials application process.
The speed at which cyber threats are evolving means that it does not take very long before you become vulnerable to a new threat.
That means you either need to have someone in your organisation keeping an eye on your system or you need to outsource it.
That’s where Evolve comes in. We are experts in managing and maintain our customer’s systems and this makes us the perfect partner to do the same for your cyber security.
